Supporting Families Through

Our Member Agencies

Our Mission

Our mission is to advocate for developmental supports that meet the needs of children, youth, and their families in BC, and to collaborate with organizations and government to build the capacity of the child development sector to provide accessible, inclusive and effective child and familycentred services. Our focus on advocacy for child development supports, and collaboration to strengthen the sector, will make an important contribution to achieving our vision of a province where the developmental needs of all children and youth are met so that they can thrive.

Our Vision

Our vision is for a province where all children and youth, and their families, receive the developmental supports they need to thrive.

We imagine a community where all programs and services for children and youth are accessible, family-centred, culturally safe, and designed to enhance quality of life. This requires service providers and organizations to work collaboratively to build the capacity of families and care providers, and the government to ensure sufficient investment of public resources for child and youth development. The result will be an inclusive community where everyone feels they belong and can participate in a way that is meaningful for them.

About Us

The BC Association for Child Development and Intervention (BCACDI) is a provincial association of agencies that provide child development and therapy services to children and youth with special needs and their families in British Columbia.
