BCACDI agencies are non-profit and accredited, delivering a wide range of services to children and youth with special needs and their families.
BCACDI works with Government, organizations, and other stakeholders to address issues impacting service delivery to children and youth with special needs.
BCACDI agencies are located across BC and the Yukon, working together to learn from one another to more effectively provide services in their own communities.
Concerned About Your Child's Development?
Each child grows and gains skills at his or her own pace while moving through a natural, predictable sequence from one developmental milestone to the next. Developmental milestones are often categorized into five major areas: physical growth, cognitive development, emotional and social development, language development, and sensory and motor development. Within each area children exhibit key behaviors which provide evidence to the pace of their development.
The Association's Mission is to advocate for quality child development and therapy services which are inclusive and accessible to all children and families and to provide member agencies with a forum for communication, information sharing and problem solving.
All children and youth requiring extra support and their families have timely access to the most effective services that help them achieve their true potential.
The BC Association for Child Development and Intervention (BCACDI) is a provincial association of agencies that provide child development and therapy services to children and youth with special needs and their families in British Columbia.
